Tame the TV.Keep the peace.

Set a daily screen-time budget, give YouTube a short leash and Netflix a longer one, decide which hours the TV works, and let each kid have their own limits.

In development for Android TV and Google TV (Android 9 and up). We'll email you when it's out.

Sound familiar?

Illustrative wording, not customer quotes.

On many Android TVs, Google's kids profiles and Family Link are missing, or only work in some countries. That leaves a TV with no time limit at all. TameTV is being built for those TVs too.

How it will work

  1. Install TameTV on the TV

It will run on Android TV and Google TV (Android 9 and up), including sets where Google's own controls are missing.

  2. Pair it with your phone

You manage it from your phone, wherever you are.

  3. Set the limits

A daily budget, per-app limits and allowed hours, for each kid.

Questions

Is TameTV out yet?
Not yet. It's in development. Join the waitlist and we'll email you when it's ready.
Which TVs will it run on?
Android TV and Google TV, Android 9 and up, including the sets where Google's own controls are missing. It won't run on Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV, Samsung or LG. See which TVs it's expected to work on.
Can it filter what's inside YouTube?
No. TameTV limits YouTube time. It can't filter inside the real YouTube app, because Google doesn't let other apps see what's playing there. Later, a safe YouTube mode will play only the channels you approve.
